Pile of Blueberries:
Puddle of Mud:
Bucket of Water:
Narrator: Mr. Blackmon
Pete the cat was walking down the street in his brand new white shoes.
Pete loved his white shoes so much, he sang this song:
Oh no!
Pete stepped into a large pile of:
STRAWBERRIES.
What color did it turn his shoes?
RED
Did Pete cry?
GOODNESS NO!
He just kept walking along and singing his song.
Oh no!
Pete stepped into a large pile of:
BLUEBERRIES.
What color did it turn his shoes?
BLUE
Did Pete cry?
GOODNESS NO!
He just kept walking along and singing his song.
Oh no!
Pete stepped into a large puddle of:
MUD.
What color did it turn his shoes?
BROWN
Did Pete cry?
GOODNESS NO!
He just kept walking along and singing his song.
Oh no!
Pete stepped into a bucket of water.
And all the brown, and all the blue, and all the red were washed away.
What color were his shoes again?
WHITE
But now they were wet. Did Pete cry?
GOODNESS NO!
He just kept walking along and singing his song.
The moral of Pete’s story is:
No matter what you step in, Keep walking along and singing your song…
Because
IT'S ALL GOOD.
Song 5: Three Little Savage Pigs - Featuring Ms. Donald's Class
Mama Pig:
Pig 1:
Pig 2:
Pig 3:
Wolf:
Wolf Sidekick:
Once upon a time there were three little pigs, all siblings of the same sow.
They grew up and the time came for them to make their way in the world, so they set out on their own. On that very day their mother gave them this advice:
Mama Pig: Amelia
Now that you're grown
stand on your own
work hard to build a life that's strong
If you believe in
dreaming big,
You'll be a wise young pig.
But watch out. You never know when a wolf will come knocking.
Ms. Moore
The first pig was delightful, and terribly cute.
But she was also lazy and didn't think much of her mother's advice.
Pig 1:
I like to play
I like to play
If I could choose I'd
play all day
I'm going to build my
house from hay, cause
I like to play, play, play
Choir:
She likes to play
She likes to play
If she could choose she'd
play all day
She's going to build her
house from hay, cause
she likes to play, play, play
Ms. Donald
Now the second little pig was a dashing lad -- Actually, in more ways than one. He was very impatient - dashing everywhere he went. He was moving so fast, he didn't take time to listen to his mother's advice.
Pig 2:
I'm in a hurry
always in a hurry
I go so fast that I look blurry
I'm going to build my
house from sticks, cause
I like to do things quick
Choir:
He's in a hurry
always in a hurry
He goes so fast that
he looks blurry
he's going to build his
house from sticks, cause
he likes to do things quick
Ms. Donald
Now the third little pig was just a little different. She liked to play as much as anyone, and she was also quite dashing as well. But unlike her siblings, she listened closely to her mother's advice. She was thinking about her future.
And when she thought about the possibility of a wolf coming her way - she was NOT HAVING IT.
Pig 3:
I'm savage
I'm a pig, I'm a pig
I'll build my house
out of brick, out of brick
If a wolf comes saying
he can blow my house down
I'll say, "come try it!
I'mma show you right now,
Choir:
She's savage
she's a pig, she's a pig
She'll build her house
out of brick, out of brick
If a wolf comes saying
he can blow the house down
She'll say, "come try it!"
She gon' show you right now,
She's SAVAGE!
Ms. Donald
The three pigs went about their lives. But one day, as fate would have it, a wolf wandered into the pigs neighborhood.
Wolf and Wolf Sidekick:
I'm a wolf
That's what I am - I love
bacon and pork chops
and honey glazed ham
Choir:
He's a wolf
That's what he is - he loves
bacon and pork chops
and baby back ribs!
Ms. Donald
Because of his keen sense of smell, it didn't take long for the wolf to show up at the door of pig number 1.
Wolf and Wolf Sidekick:
I'm comin' I'm comin
I'm ready to eat
there's a nice plump piggie just
waiting for me!
Yeah!
Choir:
He's comin' he's comin'
What will you do?
There's a mean ole' wolf
and he's coming for you
Teacher Narration: Ms. Donald
The wolf banged on the straw house door.
(sound fx - Knock knock knock)
"Hey little piggie, let me in!"
Pig number 1 replied, "Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin."
But the wolf said, "Then I'll huff, and I'll puff and I'll blow your house in!"
The wolf sucked a chunk of the sky into his lungs ...
(students in the choir will make a sound fx - the hay house will fall and pig 1 will scream and run to pig 2's house.)
Pig 1 screamed and ran to her brother.
(pig 1 will scream and run to Pig 2)
Wolf and Wolf Sidekick:
I'm comin' I'm comin
I'm ready to eat
there's two plump piggies just
waiting for me!
Yeah!
Choir:
He's comin' he's comin'
What will you do?
There's a mean ole' wolf
and he's coming for you
Ms. Donald
The wolf banged on the stick house door.
(sound fx - Knock knock knock)
"Hey little piggies, let me in!"
Pig number 2 replied, "Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin."
The wolf said, "Then I'll huff, and I'll puff and I'll blow your house in!"
The wolf sucked a chunk of the sky into his lungs ...
(students in the choir will make a sound fx - the stick house will fall and pigs 1 and 2 will scream and run to pig 3's house.)
The Pigs screamed and ran to their sister.
(pigs 1 and 2 scream and run to Pig 3s house)
Wolf and Wolf Sidekick:
I'm comin' I'm comin
I'm ready to eat
there's three plump piggies just
waiting for me!
Yeah!
Choir:
He's comin' he's comin'
What will you do?
There's a mean ole' wolf
and he's coming for you!
Teacher Narration: Ms. Donald
The wolf banged on the brick house door.
(sound fx - Knock knock knock)
"Hey little piggies, let me in!" the wolf said.
Pig number 3 replied, "Not a chance, bruh. Get lost."
But the wolf said, "Then I'll huff, and I'll puff and I'll blow your house in!"
The wolf sucked a chunk of the sky into his lungs ...
(students in the choir will make a sound fx - but nothing will happen.)
"Wait, a minute!" the wolf said to himself. "I can't be losing my mojo. Let me try again."
He sucked an even bigger chunk of the sky into his lungs ...
(students in the choir will make a sound fx - but nothing will happen again.)
When the wolf realized he couldn't blow the brick house down, he decided to climb up on the roof and come down through the chimney.
Little did he know, Pig number 3 had a boiling pot of water ready to catch him. And just before the wolf became lunch, he heard the Pigs rapping over this sick beat.
Pig 3:
I'm savage
I'm a pig, I'm a pig
I'll build my house
out of brick, out of brick
If a wolf comes saying
he can blow my house down
I'll say, "come try it!
I'mma show you right now,
Choir:
She's savage
she's a pig, she's a pig
She built her house
out of brick, out of brick
If a wolf comes saying
he can blow the house down
She'll say, "come try it!
She 'gon show you right now,
She's SAVAGE"
